Special General meeting

Amendments, last year, to the Associations Incorporation Act require non-profit organizations to review, and where necessary, to amend their constitutions in order to comply with changes to legislation. We have taken the opportunity to fully review our constitution and have recommended changes to comply with the legislation and to otherwise modernise the document in line with the revised model rules annexed to the Act.

The proposed amendments have been approved by a sub-committee, by the management committee and by the Queensland Bridge Association. All that remains now is for the members of the club to approve them at a general meeting to be held on Saturday July 5th. The proposed changes are available on the Club's website and in the Clubhouse. The committee would like to keep the general meeting as short as possible and members are urged to review the amendments in advance and refer any queries or concerns to a committee member. The committee considers there are no contentious issues which should be specially brought to members' attention.

Beginners Lessons

Bridge is the ultimate card game - an endless source of enjoyable challenges. Supervised Play

A standby player will be available for the Monday and Wednesday evening sessions. The Club will provide a partner if you come to these sessions on your own. You need to be at the clubhouse by 6:55pm and it will be appreciated if you are able to leave a telephone message on 4053 5534 in advance.
